First aid training

First Aid Responder (FAR) is the new certified first aid course, which replaces occupational first aid and is the requirement for all workplace first aiders. From the 1st Sept 2017, the Health and Safety authority will only recognise Pre Hospital Care Council (PHECC) approved occupational First Aid Courses. Under the Safety Health and Welfare at work regulation 2007, employers are required to have a sufficient number of first aid responders trained and deployed throughout the workplace.
